Spread newspaper over your work space. Remove the outer hoop of the embroidery hoop and spread glue around the outside of the inner hoop. Stretch cloth over it. Replace the outer hoop and tighten it. Pull the cloth taut. Let dry for an hour. Trim the extra cloth off with the scissors. Remove outer hoop.
Mix 3 tablespoons of glue with 1 tablespoon of water in the paper cup. Paint the mixture over the cloth. Let dry for an hour. Add another coat and let dry for another hour.
Paint your own design on the drumhead. Glue feathers to its sides or decorate with other items.
